Danny Maduro was detained at his father's home just before sunset Tuesday morning by the police's arrest team. His father and one small child were also asleep inside the home when police broke a door to get in. Police told the family the government would pay to replace the door.

Monday afternoon black smoke was spotted coming from the dump where an area caught fire again. The smoke caused some alarm and people started calling police as well as firefighters, thinking the fire was larger and more dangerous than it actually was.

Saturday afternoon firefighters put out a fire at Weg Rooi Hundo 5E in San Nicolas. Two trucks were on the scene and contained the fire that caused most damage in the living room and the roof of the house. No one was inside the house at the time. The owner said she thinks her ex-husband tried burning down the house.
