Police intervened, but things got out of hand later on again when the brother of the beach worker for whom Monty L. had pulled a knife earlier returned and attacked Monty. The latter came back to hit the brother with a shovel; he missed and hit his own wife over the head.

Firefighters were called to extinguish the motor of a Toyota Altezza which caught fire Friday during the early morning hours on Sasaki Road. The chauffeur noticed smoke coming from the front of the car; flames engulfed the motor just after he stopped the car.
