On Thursday Parliament approved a new law, which for the first time includes a chapter on sexual harassment at work. The law states that the employer has to guarantee an ambiance free of sexual intimidation for the employee while at work.

Prime Minister Mike Eman announced at a press conference on Monday that renowned Dutch award winning artist Daan Roosegaarde wants to help Aruba in bringing technology and people closer in the different neighborhoods and the Oranjestad city center, as a contribution to the island's revitalization process.

The Minister of Education announced on Monday during a press conference that the Compulsory Education law is in effect on Aruba. All youngsters ages 4 through 16 have to go to school and it is the responsibility of the parent for the child to go to school until the day of his or her 17th birthday or the completion of a secondary education.
