On Friday Aruba Minister of Tourism Otmar Oduber, accompanied by Aruba Tourism Authority executives, met with KLM management in the Netherlands. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the results of the loading capacity of KLM for Aruba, as well as the working relationship.
KLM COO, Pieter Elbers; VP Government and Industry Affairs, Willem de Jonge and Senior Manager Network Planning, Koen Harbers, representing KLM, expressed that despite a small decrease in passenger numbers from the Netherlands, the other markets have been able to compensate this and bring about positive results.

Among others the parties discussed the possibility of having a flight that leaves later from Amsterdam as to offer a better connection for travelers from other destinations such as Germany, England, Scandinavia and Italy. The KLM delegation said they would explore the possibilities to offer this option once per week.
