Local Business man H. Merryweather has been re-arrested. A few weeks ago he and his son were arrested for possession of a firearm. These were confiscated during a fiscal investigation raid. After two weeks they were released. Today in regards to the fiscal fraud suspicion Mr. Merryweather has been re-arrested. His lawyer Mr. Chris Lejeuz confirmed the arrest.

The Public Prosecutor's office denies that a firearm was found in a cel at the detention center (K.I.A) in San Nicolas. A trustworthy source informed a local reporter that this was the case. After this news reporter reported about the news the spokeswoman for the Public Prosecutor informed that this information was false.

Also suspect A.F is being accused of intentionally damaging the property of a person. Finally suspect T.A is being accused of stabbing a person in his stomach.

The STA which is the union that represents a large group of employees at The International Airport are awaiting an important verdict from the local court. The verdict will clear up an uncertainty on a dispute between the airport management and the employees. The dispute has everything to do with financial compensation on Sunday's and Holiday's. The airport management and the employees interpret the content of their contract differently. The airport management said that it will respect the decision of the courts.

Local Lawyer Mr. Edwin Duijneveld informed the general public that he is aware of the whereabouts of his client Chris Williams. Mr. Williams fled from the Oranjestad Police Station on Tuesday night. He is currently facing brutal physical abuse charges and was detained during the week-end. His lawyers said that his client will not turn himself in as long as the investigation that has been requested starts. The lawyer and his client refer to an investigation regarding the inadequate treatment his client received during his arrest.

Today in court will appear the case where suspect A. is being accused of committing a crime by threatening a person with his life. This was done by pointing a knife towards him. Also the suspect is being accused of using violence to get the victim to give him one (1) Aruban Florin.

A large group of prisoners mostly foreigners were brought to the office of the public prosecutor. The reason for their visit has to do with the fact that their sentence is in its the last fase. The prosecutor needs to evaluate it they will be permitted to stay in Aruba or if they are forced to migrate.

Local business owner Herby Merryweather had to present himself together with his son in front of 3 judges. This is due to the fact the the local prosecutor appealed the decision of the judge of instruction to release both suspects after they were arrested for possession of a firearm. The judges heard both parties and will make a decision at the end of the week.
