On Friday the driver, who hit a couple and caused the death of the man, will be brought before the judge to set a date for trial. The man, L.B.T., was detained at the scene of the accident for DUI. L.B.T. has been in jail since July 16. He had been speeding, refused to blow into the breathalyzer and was found in possession of cocaine.
On September 27, 2011 the Court in First Instance of Aruba gave its ruling in a case that was initiated by the Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) back in 2010. AAA requested the Court to decide whether or not vacation days of its shift workers that coincide with national holidays should be deducted from the employees’ vacation balance.
The Judge of Instruction decided it was no longer necessary to prolong the detention of Ricky Croes in the Lotto pa Deporte fraud investigation. Croes is the former financial director of the foundation. He was detained for a total of 10 days.
Monday morning investigators retraced what are presumed to be Robyn Gardner's last steps. Gardner (35) was reported missing by her travel partner Gary Giordano on August 2, 2010. The man was arrested on August 5 on suspicion of being actively involved in her disappearance. He remains in custody at the KIA prison. Giordano was not present at the reconstruction of the case.

Investigators had been interrogating Croes for long hours and his attorney said they do have to remember that his client has the right to getting enough rest. His lawyer said that most of the questions concerned invoices that had been paid. More arrests might follow in this case.
The former financial director of Lotto pa Deporte, Ricky Croes was detained Wednesday morning and held for questioning in the investigation into fraud that was committed during his tenure with the foundation. His lawyer, Chris Lejuez, had to assist during the questioning, because Croes is not fluent in Dutch. Croes was taken to the police headquarters in Oranjestad around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, where he was incarcerated.
Roberto G. is a cabdriver and fisherman who enjoyed the trust of various customs and coastguard authorities. His name was mentioned in one drug trafficking investigation after which he was found with 50 kilo of cocaine on his boat. He has confessed to having taken over the drugs from another boat at sea, but denied all involvement in any other cases.
The prosecutor in the sexual abuse and harassment case against Vito Geerman, the elementary school teacher popularly known as radio's "DJ Vic", is demanding four years imprisonment and five years suspension from his job. The Judge will announce his decision on September 22. The teacher is detained, accused of having sexual intercourse with 4 students.

After the decision of the judge to hold Gary Giordano suspect in the case of the missing American preparations were on the way to transport him to the main jail in Aruba. After a few minutes he was brought outside by the officers and was put in a white van. The van transported him to KIA which is the Aruba main jail. Here he will sit for another 16 days.
