Sunday in the early morning hours, the Calypso and Roadmarch Kings for the 2012 Carnaval were crowned at Joe Laveist Sport Park. Valentino King with Band in a Box and Master Gusto with Youth Xtreme won the titles of Calypso King and Roadmarch King, respectively.Click here to see photos of the entire event.
Master Gusto (Derwin Kemp) also won "Most Popular".
Arnaldo Maduro of Youth Xtreme won the prize for Best Costume and Jonathan Thiel of Upgrade Music won Best Rookie. Tsunami was named "Best Uniformed" band and Contagious Band won "Most Disciplined".
