The owner of the Venezuelan company Arevenca, which started the airline named Fly Aruba, is being accused of fraud in New York. The accusation is related to a shipment of petrol for which they charged 11.2 million dollar for in advance. The shipment was never delivered.
This information was published in newspaper Amigoe di Aruba. Last month Fly Aruba celebrated the arrival of their Airbus A-320 and announced that they are ready to start offering flights as soon as they receive their AOC. Arevenca has also tried lobbying on Aruba and Curacao to purchase the refineries on both islands. On Aruba Glenbert Croes and Michael William represent the company, which is headed by Francisco Javier Gonzales. Fly Aruba operations manager said he is not able to comment on information that concerns Arevenca and the press has to attend with Arevenca directly about such matters.
