Gary Giordano received an sms with the words “Take Me Out Of Here” from Robyn Gardner. He went online, googled for a destination, chose Aruba and booked their trip. It was odd that Robyn wanted to continue traveling, because she had just returned from a trip with her friends. She told her boyfriend she was going to Florida and instead came to Aruba with another man.

Everything went well on Aruba until Gardner disappeared Tuesday, August 2 during a snorkeling trip and Giordano called authorities, reporting her missing. Both have insurance; not life, but regular travel insurance. Giordano was detained the following Friday, while there is still no proof at this time that he is guilty of any wrongdoing. He has given various statements. The car he had rented was confiscated for investigation, but released in the meantime. Detectives are investigating this case, with the assistance from other departments, in an attempt to eliminate all doubts. If all is well, Gary Giordano has to present in front of the Judge of Instruction on Monday. It is possible that Giordano will be released thereafter if there is not enough material evidence against him.

Obviously you've never been to Aruba . It is a 20 mile long island and to suggest no boating is as absurd as the idea of lifeguards and cameras on all the beaches around an island this size . I am an American and have owned a house here for 7 years .It is by far the nicest , safest island I've been to , and I've been to most of them . Have you ever been to U.S. Virgin Islands ? No comparison !The blame is not on Aruba ,but on unstable tourists that come here and get in trouble and the media for sensationalizing !

I also own a townhouse condo on the island and We have been going to Aruba for 25 years. I have been to many islands in the Caribbean and we found Aruba to be the safest. I live just outside Springfield Ma which is the 14 most dangerous city in the U.S. Aruba is the safest island in the Caribbean.
