Each year, the Radisson Aruba Resort In light of International Women’s Day, the Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa organized a special celebration, featuring 125 female employees.

Mr. Glenn Farro, Director of Human Resources, had the honor of welcoming the invitees at the luncheon and expressed his gratitude and admiration on behalf of all the male counterparts.

All female colleagues enjoyed a delicious meal from the buffet that had a wide range of healthy choices. Beverages were served by the EC team and the guest speaker was nutritionist Angelique Salsbach who gave a presentation about Healthy Eating.

The guest speaker at this year’s luncheon was nutritionist Angelique Salsbach, who shared helpful tips on eating well and living well. Accordingly, the buffet consisted of a wide variety of healthy options for the ladies to savor from.

The luncheon was part of International Women’s Day, first observed on March 19, 1911 in Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland. That day, more than one million women and men showed their support for women’s equality by taking part in public events. Each year, March 8 and the week following honours the contributions women have been making in Canada and around the world.

International Women's Day ensures that we spend some time thinking about the achievements and sacrifices of the women who have gone before us, that we acknowledge the special women around us, and that we work together to make a brighter future for generations to come," she said.

International Women's Day is celebrated around the world each year. It is a day when women are recognised for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. It is an occasion for looking back on past struggles and accomplishments, and more importantly, for looking ahead to the untapped potential and opportunities that await future generations of women.

The resort hosted a special luncheon in honor of all female colleagues in the Grand Caribbean Ballroom on Friday, March 8th, in order to acknowledge and appreciate the important role women play on the job and in our community.

The celebration was opened by Glenn Farro, Director of Human Resources, and by General Manager Mark Frances, who both warmly welcomed their guests reiterating how much women contribute to the life of the resort and to visitors’ experiences on the island.

Corine de Cuba was guest speaker, sharing valuable strategies on “How to Overcome Fear,” motivating the audience to achieve more equipped with faith, optimism and determination.

All ladies received a nice gift from the General Manager, including roses and chocolates from the executive team, adding up to a memorable and unforgettable event.
