DSC_2063Shurendy C.L. Offerman will remain detained for the timebeing as a suspect in the Gandelman Jewelers robbery. He was born on Curacao and currently lives in the Netherlands.

He appeared before the judge of instruction on Friday; his detention was extended. On Saturday he was taken in for questioning, an ongoing process which began earlier last week.

The suspect left Aruba after committing the robbery together with one other suspect. They are suspected of having robbed the store and escaped on scooters. The investigation revealed the man as a suspect and he was under surveillance for some time. When he decided to return to Aruba authorities apprehended him at the airport.
