Aruba’s championship golf-course, Tierra Del Sol, hosted the third of five Heritage Cup by Boolchand’s events, this past Saturday. The prizes for the winners of the five rounds are sponsored by Boolchand’s in the form of oversize, stylish TW Steel watches.
On Saturday, Aruba’s gentle trade winds were not so gentle during the 3rd Heritage Cup round.  Thus, at the end of three events, the Heritage Cup produced three different winners, making the final event one of the closest matches to watch. The winner with 39 stableford points was Rafael Gallardo, a golfer not seen on the leader board these past couple of events. He was able to subdue the winds and the golf course winning by one point over second, consecutive 2nd place finisher Ricky Quant who scored 38 points, placing Orlando Rasmijn in 3rd place with 37 points.

Now leading the race, a non-event winner but showing consistency with two runner-up finishes, Ricky Quant, who collectively earned 900 Heritage Cup points, chased by Orlando Rasmijn with 612 points in the second place, and previous leader Jan Roeloffsvalk in third.  While there still is one more event before the reset in points takes place in preparation for the final event, 15 golfers still have a good chance of overtaking one of the point leaders.  “Anything can still happen, with 15 golfers sill in the running for the first position, and any of the participants is still capable of making it to the top 30 positions,” says Adam Williamson, head golf pro at Tierra Del Sol Golf Course.

Attending the cocktail reception at the end of the tournament, Boolchands’ Island Director Ravee Nandwani, accompanied by his distinguished father. Mr. Nandwani commented enthusiastically on the event and its current outcome, and expressed satisfaction with the players’ competitive drive, eyeing the stylish and contemporary prizes, and looking forward to the photo finish at the end, as the Champion will be receiving the Heritage Cup and a TW Steel watch valued over $900

The next event, says Williamson, will be held on Saturday June 18th, with a 12:30pm shotgun start. Golfers are expected to sign-up via email to the Head Golf Professional Adam Williamson [email protected] or by calling Tierra del Sol Pro Shop, tel.: 586-0978.

This year’s event enjoys the sponsorship of Boolchands with co-sponsors Buster’s Garage, Amadeus, Café Rembrandt & Da Vinci Italian Restaurant.
