Aruba Held A Solemn 9/11 Memorial Service PDF Print E-mail

A ceremony honoring the firefighters, policemen, rescue personnel and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9-11-01, at the World Trade Center site, in NY,  near Shanksville, Pa., and at the Pentagon, when they rushed in to help save lives, was held in Aruba on Sunday in front of the Post Office, in Oranjestad, at 11 a.m.

The ceremony was attended by Aruba’s Prime Minister Mike Eman, his American-born wife Doina Eman, Aruba’s firefighters, members of the police, emergency medical first responders, Valero Oil Refinery firefighters, EMTS, and fire truck personnel. The ceremony was an initiative of Captain Clifford Faldman, serving as a volunteer firefighter since 1970, a Fire Safety First Consultant. Among speakers at the moving gathering The Prime Minister Prime Eman, Chief de CUBA , Aruba Fire Department, Commissioner Trudy Hassel representing the Police and Rabbi Mario Gurevich.
