 Wednesday afternoon, the minister of tourism, Mr. Otmar Oduber met with Hyatt Regency Aruba employees in the resort’s ballroom. Oduber gave a presentation on the island’s tourism industry, current and future plans and projects and the role of the individual associate in the success of Aruba’s tourism industry. He introduced the Certification Program that is to be offered to hospitality industry employees as of August. After the presentation, Minister Oduber was asked questions pertaining specific topics, concerns and ideas. A survey was conducted by EPI students and Aruba Tourism Authority employees during the visit, of which results will surely contribute positively to the creation of the strategic master plan that should be presented at the end of November and will cover general tourism planning for the next 15 yearsComments
