Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) is happy to announce that Aruba’s stay-over tourism has grown with 9.4% this September compared to the same month in 2011.

Aruba welcomed 63,738 visitors in September 2011 and 69,718 in September 2012. This was determined by the growth of tourism from Aruba’s three main markets: North America, Latin America and Europe.

In Year To Date statistics, Aruba was visited by 677,095 in the period of January through September 2012, which indicates a Year To Date growth of 3% compared to the same period last year.

The Average Daily Rate (ADR) charged by AHATA members was slightly lower this year in September, at $150.58 compared to last year’s ADR, which was 151.05. Nevertheless, the REVPAR, which is the revenue per room, increased with 8.3%, as occupation was up 6.1% and stands at 76.7% compared to last year September, when the occupancy was 70.6%. The REVPAR was also up from $106.66 to $115.52.
