| IPA celebrates opening of the academic year |

 Friday evening the opening of the academic year was celebrated at Aruba’s pedagogic institute, IPA. The teacher’s academy’s first year students presented different dances and sketches, followed by the keynote address by Minister of Education, Arthur Dowers. The title of Dowers’ speech was “The quality of education on Aruba”. Recognitions were presented to students who completed their first year, as well as students who are graduating this academic year. At the closing of the evening a few teachers who are retiring this year were thanked for their many years of dedication to the IPA.
