Recently Minister of Economic Affairs, Social Affairs and Culture, Minister Michelle Hooyboer-Winklaar announced that the new department "Aruba Investment Agency" (ARINA) is ready to welcome investors to the island.

The department is housed in the former Numismatic Museum in Weststraat. The main goal is for ARINA to play a key role in diversification of the island's economy. The  community's capacity and the network that supports the expansion of commerce and the development of the commercial opportunities in particular, are the fundamental factors of Aruba's economy. The Minister met the new team and received a tour and a complete update on the operations. ARINA is not officially open yet, but the department has received various requests for information and has met with different potential investors.
ARINA assists local and international investors in establishing their businesses on the island as fast and efficient as possible. The services, including information, advice and  assistance, are rendered free of charge. Potential investors are informed on opportunities, rules and legalities. The intention is for ARINA to offer "red carpet" service to all parties interested in investing on Aruba to facilitate the process for existing clients and potential investors.
