A new roundabout for San Nicolas |

During a press conference of the department of public works, DOW, on Tuesday, Engineer Jossy Kock said that they will start with some work in San Nicolas in the area of the building which formerly housed the DOOV. There, they will close the street to build a roundabout where the three roads meet.

The director of the LVV, the government's department of agriculture, husbandry and fishery, known popularly as Santa Rosa was sent home Wednesday morning.Internal sources say the Minister personally visited the department to meet with and explain the situation to the employees. Apparently there are situations that need investigation at this time.

On Friday, Paseo Herencia unveiled a wall dedicated to Aruba's National Anthem. A bust of Padu Lampe, who was the co-author of the Anthem together with the late Rufo Wever and Lio Booi was placed by the wall. On the wall hangs the anthem, with the English translation thereof.

Some 2500 people participated at the parade and tribute to Aruba's Flag and Anthem before the government offices on March 18th. They belong to 47 groups, including the scouts and sports, social, service, cultural and folkloric groups.
