Carnaval: Ileyna de Cuba and Edelysse Nicholas are chosen Children's and Youth Queen 2012 PDF Print E-mail

Ileyna de Cuba, representing the Noord Community Center was chosen to lead Aruba's Children's Carnaval. Edelysse Nicholas, representing the TOB Carnival Group was chosen as the 2012 Youth Queen. Both elections took place during one event at the Aruba Entertainment Center on Friday.
Four girls participated at the Children's Queen elections. The first runner-up was Eve-Aaliyah Mirjah, representing TOB. The prizes for Best Costume, Best Show, Best Speech and Little Princess of SETAR were won by Queen Ileyna. The Youth Queen election had two participants. The first runner-up, Kimberly Vrolijk, who represented Champagne Carnival Group also took home the titles for Best Costume, Best Show and Best Speech. Youth Queen of SETAR was won by Queen Edelysse. Both girls will be accompanied at all parades and events by the Prince and Pancho (court jester) of their age category.
