Tragedy at Baby Beach: Man drowns while saving his wife's life |

Police were notified around 1 p.m. on Monday that a woman had gotten in trouble while swimming at Baby Beach. Her husband jumped into the ocean immediately to help his wife, he got in trouble as well and drowned.
Fire Rescue, Maritime Police and the helicopter, together with Search and Rescue were mobilized immediately. Witnesses saw the woman return to shore, but the man was taken out by the ocean until no one could see him anymore. Divers in the area assisted emergency workers in the search and found the man under a few rocks.
Fire Rescue, with help from a few good Samaritans, got the man's body out of the ocean. Victim assistance were present to help the family members. The victim is Mr. Danny Roundfield (born May 26, 1953). He was visiting Aruba with his family, staying at Renaissance Resort.
