Saturday when police visited a house on Macubaristraat where they detained a mother and her son who had committed an armed robbery, they found seven or eight people living in the small home. Apparently the subletting of rooms in these social housing homes has become a lucrative business for some people. For example the mother and her son were living in one of the bedrooms and police found one other illegal man in the home as well. Authorities were surprised to find illegal aliens being provided with a home by locals, who are either renting these houses or bought them for a reasonable price from the social housing foundation.
